Forms to download for registering your goats:
- PCA Application for Membership, Farm Registration, & Farm Tattoo ID
Form
- PCA Goat Application for Registration Form
- PCA Transfer of Ownership Form
- Your Farm Name and Farm Tattoo ID must be registered with PCA before you register a goat. Name and tattoo must be unique. Download the PCA Application for Farm Name & Tattoo here.
- Once you have registered your farm, you are ready to register your goats. We suggest you wait until the goat is at least 8 months old and in full fleece. Click here to download the PCA Goat Application for Registration. Fill out and mail the registration form and any other required materials to the Registrar's address listed below:
- Sire and Dam must be in the PCA registry before you register their offspring. If one or both of them are registered with AAGBA, CAGBA, NPGA, or PBA, you must include a copy of their registration certificate with the PCA registration application.
- The name of the goat you are registering must be unique and include the farm name that you have registered with PCA.
- You may tattoo or microchip your goats for identification. (Tattoo ID must be your registered PCA Farm TattooID.) Check all identification sites that apply. If you use both ears, indicate information in each ear.
- If the dam was not bred on your farm, include the signature of the owner of the buck on the PCA registration application.
- If the goat being registered was not owned by you at the time of birth, have the breeder sign the registration form and also fill out and sign a Transfer of Ownership Form and include it with the PCA registration application.
- Give as much body color information as you can, including any markings: belly bands, white on ears, muzzles, socks, etc. (PCA acceptible color and color patterns are not fixed yet, due to the newness of the registry.) Pictures are optional at this time, but strongly encouraged. Digital photos are preferred and can be emailed, but make sure the photo adequately identifies the goat. Hardcopy photographs are also acceptable. All photos must include:
Name of owner
Name of goat being registered
Date of birth
Date of picture
- Give as much fleece information as you can. Fleece samples are optional but encouraged. Include the fleece color and include the fleece description if you know it: mohair, cashmere, or type A, B, or C pygora.
- At this time there are no costs to transfer ownership or to register your goat
- All forms should be carefully filled out and mailed to:
